The mother's blood pressure can determine the sex of the baby

What if the mother's type of diet ... what if the exact moment of conception ... what if the famous Chinese table ... There is a lot of talk about how to determine the sex of the future baby. There are mothers who try everything to have a boy or a girl ... Now they have a new possibility: the mother's blood pressure or pressure.

Scientists from Mount Sinai Hospital Toronto (Canada), have succeeded in showing that the mother's sitolic blood pressure at the time of conception greatly influences the sex of the future baby. For this they have followed the case of more than 1,400 women who wanted to be mothers. Some of them with marked low tension and others with high tension. They found that those with lower blood pressure, even a few weeks before conception, were predisposed to having girls (although not in 100% of cases), while those women with higher blood pressure who had become pregnant, they had in most cases ... children.

In the study systolic pressure was decisive, which is the pressure exerted at the time of the heartbeat. If a woman has the tension 120 mm Hg - 80 mm Hg (normal tension in an adult), the systolic pressure would be 120 mm. The other is called diastolic pressure.

Values such as smoking, overweight, cholesterol and glucose were also taken into account. In this way, the researchers came to the conclusion that the most determining factor in all these cases when determining the sex of the baby, it was the mother's blood pressure.

There are many ways to 'try' to get the baby's gender right. Obviously, neither is 100% accurate:

- The Chinese table: It is a table that has existed for thousands of years (some call it a Maya table). It is used by calculating the mother's lunar age and planning the month of conception based on the maternal age.

- The mother's diet: Another theory suggests that the mother's feeding months before conception can influence the sex of her future baby. In this way, women who eat meat proteins and foods rich in sodium and potassium will have a predisposition to have children, while those who base their diet on vegetables and foods rich in calcium and magnesium, would have more chances of having a girl

- The moment of conception: A pregnancy three days after ovulation is not the same as at the moment of ovulation. It is perhaps the most reliable scientific explanation for why you have boys or girls. Male-loaded sperm are faster but live shorter. Those who determine that the baby will be a girl are slower but live longer. For this reason, women who have intercourse on the same day as ovulation tend to have children, while women who are looking for a girl should have intercourse three or four days before ovulation.
