The fact that you like it is not enough ...
Facebook is a place of information exchange between private users as well as companies, blogs and social organizations. It is a contact platform that does not necessarily run at the level of the store owner (deriving money from activities) - internet user, but also a charity institution - an internet user.
Most of these individuals and organizations decided to start their adventure with Facebook with the feeling that they are choosing a free website that gives information to people who want to receive it (all friends or so-called fans). This naivety, however, is punished today, and the information that could and can still be found on the main page of the site remains a fiction. Website owners proudly proclaim that the service is free today and that it will ALWAYS be. Is this true though?
Facebook punishes itself. For people who run so-called "fanpages" it has not been a free platform for a long time ... Everything indicates that in the future fees will be charged to private persons. We have alarming signals today.
Advertise your note
Of course, from the very start of the site it was known that the site would offer paid advertising for companies. However, hardly anyone guessed that you would have to pay for getting your message (not only sent by companies, websites, institutions, but also private individuals). Today, the site is punishing you to pay for what was initially free and what was part of the idea of creating Facebook pages. The portal was to enable contacts. Currently, a fee is required for those contacts and basic information that goes to people who have expressed a desire to receive them. Honest?
From early October 2012, it is known that private individuals will be able to increase the visibility of their entries. Today, to inform people who like to find a given site are forced to pay also companies and websites. The fact that someone decided to like the site is not enough. The fact that he often showed great commitment and expenditure of a large amount of energy in the eyes of Facebook owners is insufficient. Soaping the eyes of both those who click "like it" and owners of company profiles and blogs, more and more ... money is required.
What to do to get information from publishers, blogs you like?
To receive information (to display it on the board), press the "add to interests" button in the rack on the main page of the page. Interestingly, this way you can receive information from your favorite site without being a fan of it. On the other hand, by clicking only "I like it", we may miss many interesting events, because the page is beyond "our interest". At least formally. In the world of Facebook.
Let's return to the need to pay for the visibility of your posts on your friends' boards. This solution has been introduced in 20 countries for now. In the US, we will pay $ 7 to promote our note. Soon, payment of posts will also apply in Poland.
What will be the result? Subject experts suggest that the introduction of payment for publishing notes (not only for companies, but also for individuals) may result in information published free of charge ... And this will contribute to mass outflow of fans to other sites that will grow at such times as mushrooms after the rain.
You don't like, you can't see
Perhaps you have noticed something else. Facebook is not such an innocent tool as we think. The program has built-in special solutions that have been implemented to track our online behavior. To some extent, Google is similar in its behavior. However, the process here is much further.
That is why Facebook, reading our interests, offers us specific products, services and advertising. In recent days, it also begins to provide the option of buying and paying for gifts, which is connected to the birthday calendar.
In addition: if we do not actively interact with a page, we do not press the "I like it" button, we do not share content over time, although the information is of interest to us, but we do not usually take active part (for various reasons) in discussions on the site , the information stops displaying on our board. Although we remain theoretically fans of the site. Therefore, if you really want to receive information from your favorite websites, you should select the "add to list of interests" option.
Note the photos you add
Many people gave up our-class portal when the regulations changed. There were also those who were outraged by the fact that the website owners informed that the photos could not be permanently deleted, decided to use Facebook. Not knowing whether or not inquiring about whether the situation on this page looks different ... and a few moments, knowledge of English and inquisitiveness are enough to find out that every photo that is posted on Facebook stays there forever (here the word "always" has the most adequate meaning).
You have to remember that even the deleted photo remains on the Facebook server. In fact, it stays there even when we delete the account on the portal. Therefore, one mistake in the form of adding a compromising photo in the future can really cost a lot. The more that a lot of information is provided online: not only personal data, but also the address, name of the finished school, place of work. In this case, each person can be identified after removal. It may not be a problem for us at the moment, but without knowing the future, it is difficult to guess what will happen to our data in a few to several years. For example, when we become a public figure ... or when our small children start growing up today.
Facebook and the case of children
Facebook is also a horror for children portal, which is becoming a problem not only for addicted teenagers ... Just look at the statistics to notice that 7% of portal users they are toddlers from 5 to 7 years old. Do you hear how the alarm sounds?
It is true that the portal is severely punished (at least in theory) for posting undressed photos, but you still need to be very sensitive to the content of the portal and the entire Internet, which we wrote about here.
Perhaps the above information will be useful to people who run Facebook pages and simply to users of the portal. And what do you think about it?
