The author of the book is a psychologist who shares his experience from the point of view of a practitioner. Gaining extensive knowledge and observing children's behavior at the first stage of pre-school education, Jovanka Jovičić shares his own thoughts, which he enriches with numerous practical information. Generally he does it in substantive, convincing way. It also doesn't leave parents without reflection. For example, by writing:
I really didn't experience a situation in which a parent would tell me, "I'm sure there won't be any problems if he stays without me," and in which later a problem would arise. With the help of a guardian, the child breaks up with his parents and joins the group. But often the parent expects the problem of separation: "For him it will be difficult, he will cry" and the problem actually comes about. (p. 108)
With these words and many others, the author makes us aware how great a contribution to the success of the first days in kindergarten and to experiencing them without tears "do not leave me here" have parents. It shows step by step how to prepare yourself and your child for kindergarten education. How to do it wisely, with a plan, while avoiding resorting to trickery, embarrassing your child, comparing with other kids, or even ordering to stay in kindergarten.
The author gives other valuable tips: she explains how much influence parents have and their way of raising on whether a child finds itself in kindergarten. According to her, it matters ability to admit error, encourage independence (however, only when the child is ready to acquire a new skill - the author explains how to recognize such readiness), requirements of what you can expect at a given age. The handbook explains the role of conversations with the child, stimulation to ask questions, and why respect for the child is so important.
Jovanka Jovičić does not emphasize in any particular way temperament beings, or the child's personality (although he points out that the child may be ready for kindergarten at different ages), but focuses on the ability to treat the child so that he or she feels safe and accepted. In this way, you can acquire basic skills: expressing your emotions, cooperating in a group, bearing the consequences of your own actions, not to mention motor skills or the ability to express yourself.
With this manual you can learn, how to make a child respect himself and others, feel safe and confident, and be able to interact with peers and make loyal friends.

You may also feel unsatisfied with the number of examples from the author's experience describing her work with preschoolers and their parents.
